It is a fact that when people become teenagers they lie more than they ever did before. A study done in California University (Los Angelos) shows that an average person in America lies once every 8 minutes, in sum of 180 lies each day.

Lying for some people is the key of survival or a way to get through rules they disagree with, a person might also lie to get a job, impress someone, even lie to him/her self trying to convince themselves in something that he/she knows isn't originally true, to ease pain or reach inner peace. Studies made by the non-profit Joseph and Edna Josephson Institute of Ethics shows that 7 out of 10 U.S high school students admitted cheating on a test at least once in the past year, and more than half of them said they have done it more than once that year.

The study also shows that 92 percent of the 8,600 surveyed student lied to their parents in the past year. 78 percent said they would lie to get a job.
